Who I help
The people I work with are good at what they do. Often very good. But they keep meeting the same problem, however hard they work at it: the same moment under pressure, the same reaction, the same ceiling.
My work identifies what drives that pattern and changes it, so the change lasts beyond our sessions. Most of my clients come from four worlds.
WHEN IT MATTERS MOST
Elite sport
You train for the moment, then something gets in the way when it arrives. Performance dips in competition, confidence doesn't return after injury, or selection pressure starts to shape every decision.
I work with athletes, coaches and support staff. Whether your sport is sailing or watersports, football, golf or something else, pressure tends to show up in similar ways. Together we work out what happens to your thinking when it counts, and build responses that hold.
My research on rational emotive behaviour therapy (REBT) in high-performance sport is published in peer-reviewed journals.
How we can work together
WHEN YOUR WORK IS ALWAYS BEING JUDGED
Performing arts
Dancers, musicians, and actors work under constant scrutiny, often without a clear measure of what success looks like. Auditions, reviews and casting decisions sit in other people's hands, and that uncertainty can quietly take over.
I help performers understand what drives their anxiety and self-doubt so that they can create and perform freely.
Confidentiality matters in this work. I see clients in a private room at Northwood House in Cowes. There is no waiting room: I meet you myself and take you straight to the room. Online sessions are also available.

WHO I WORK WITH
Nestlé Global
Recent examples include wellbeing and performance support for senior executives, alongside leaders in public service and global organisations.
WHEN THE PRESSURE DOESN'T LET UP
Senior leaders and executives
Leading under sustained pressure means making high-stakes decisions with incomplete information while keeping others steady. Over time, the strain can show up as overthinking, irritability, poor sleep, or a sense that you're not performing at the level you know you can.
I work with senior leaders in public service and global organisations, including Nestlé. Our work focuses on how you respond to pressure, so you can decide, lead and recover well.

WHEN THE JOB STAYS WITH YOU
Policing and emergency services
Policing and emergency service work asks a lot: long shifts, heavy workloads, high-stakes decisions and constant scrutiny. Over time, that pressure adds up. It can show up as tiredness that rest doesn't fix, less patience with colleagues or family, or finding that work you used to do well now takes more out of you.
I help officers, staff and leaders spot the early signs of burnout, handle pressure more effectively, and keep performing well across a long career.
I have worked with UK police forces since 2016, and my published research covers psychology in policing. Where past incidents are part of the picture, I use evidence-based trauma-focused therapies.
